Building a business from South Africa

Sell your software. From South Africa.

A starter that assumes you can open a standard Stripe account leaves South African builders with more work. Caylem includes Polar checkout: a payment route for eligible software and digital products, with South Africa on its supported payout list.

Polar approval, identity checks and product rules still apply. Agency service invoices, physical goods and local EFT need a suitable payment route of their own. Paystack, PayFast and Yoco integrations are not included.

Sell your software through Polar

Polar acts as the merchant of record and pays sellers through Stripe Connect Express. This is a different route from opening a standalone Stripe Payments account.

Start with a purchase flow you can use

Catalog, one-time checkout and purchased access are connected in the source. Configure your own Polar account and adapt delivery to your product. Recurring billing needs additional implementation.
